PetMog Privacy Policy

PetMog is a mobile app made by DEOX ("DEOX", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information PetMog collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email us at founder@deox.app.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Pet profile: your pet's name, type (for example dog or cat), sex, age and breed, and your answers to in-app questions and quizzes (such as the Pet MBTI quiz).

  • Photos: the pet photos you choose to add to PetMog. PetMog only accesses the photos you pick or take; it does not scan your photo library.

  • Messages to us: if you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

Information collected automatically

  • Purchase information: when you subscribe, payment is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or store your card details. We receive a record of your subscription (the plan, its status and an anonymous app user ID) through our subscription provider, RevenueCat.

  • Technical information: basic device and app information (such as device type, operating system version, app version and error logs) that helps us keep the app working and secure.

2. How we use your information

  • To create your pet's reports, cards, personality results, pet thoughts, dating profiles and photo tips.

  • To analyse the pet photos you submit for a PetMog report. These photos are sent securely to our server, which uses an AI image-analysis service to generate the report.

  • To check that your subscription is active and unlock the app.

  • To respond to your support requests.

  • To keep PetMog secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos for advertising.

3. Where your information is stored

Most of your PetMog data, including your pet profile, saved cards and photo copies, is stored on your own device. Photos sent for a PetMog report are processed on our server and by our AI provider only to create that report, and are not used by us to train AI models.

4. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run PetMog, and only as needed for them to do so:

  • Apple and Google, to process payments and subscriptions.

  • RevenueCat, to manage subscription status.

  • Hosting and AI image-analysis providers, to run our server and generate reports.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, DEOX or others.

When you choose to share a PetMog card (for example to social media or messages), it is shared through your device's share sheet, and the app or person you send it to handles it under their own policies.

5. How long we keep information

Data on your device stays there until you delete it in the app, delete your account or uninstall PetMog. Photos sent for analysis are kept on our side only as long as needed to create and deliver your report and to keep the service secure. Subscription records are kept as long as required for accounting and legal purposes.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Delete cards and photos: you can delete any saved card from the Reports tab.

  • Delete your account: you can delete your account in the app under Settings, or email us. See Delete your account.

  • Photo permissions: you can change PetMog's camera and photo access at any time in your device settings.

  • Access, correction and deletion: depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, email founder@deox.app. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

7. Managing your subscription

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel them in your Apple ID settings (iPhone) or the Google Play Store (Android). Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.

8. Children

PetMog is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections between the app and our server. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

10. International users

DEOX is based in the United States. If you use PetMog from outside the US, your information may be processed in the US and other countries where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will let you know in the app.
